A dust storm has swept through South Australia's Barossa Valley after heavy winds stirred the site of the Pinery bushfire. Gusts of up to 55mph were recorded in the nearby town of Roseworthy as thunderstorms arrived in parts of the state this afternoon. Photos on social media showed large plumes of dust moving across Barossa.
Residents have been urged to drive safely and avoid going outdoors if they have respiratory conditions. The Barossa Valley is a renowned wine-producing region about 40 miles to the northeast of Adelaide, in South Australia.
